Crop nutrition

Feeding the soil and the crop

Healthy soils grow healthy crops. Our crop-nutrition range supports balanced plant nutrition while looking after the soil: microorganic fertilizers help build soil life and structure, and foliar fertilizers deliver nutrients straight to the leaves when crops need them most.

Apply fertilizers at the rates and intervals on the product label. Contact the Zinbioseed product team for a nutrition programme for your crop.

Why microorganic fertilizers

Better soil, better crops

Microorganic fertilizers combine organic matter with beneficial microorganisms. Used as part of a balanced programme, they help in four ways.

  • Livelier soil

Beneficial microorganisms and organic matter improve soil structure and help it hold water and nutrients.

  • Better nutrient uptake

Nutrients are released and taken up more efficiently, so less is lost from the field.

  • Less chemical fertilizer

Healthier soil biology helps growers reduce their reliance on chemical fertilizers over time.

  • Quality harvests

Balanced nutrition supports even growth, stronger plants and better produce quality.

Application

Getting the most from foliar fertilizers

Foliar feeding works quickly, but it works best when it is done carefully. A few simple rules make every spray count.

  1. Follow the label

Mix at the dilution rate and repeat at the interval the product label gives for your crop.

  2. Spray at key growth stages

Feed when demand is highest, such as early growth, flowering and fruit set, as the label recommends.

  3. Choose the right time of day

Spray in the cool of early morning or late afternoon, never in strong sun or just before rain.

  4. Cover the leaves evenly

Use a fine spray that wets both sides of the leaves without running off.

  5. Check before mixing

Only mix with other products when the label says they are compatible.
