Growing guide

  1. SowingSow shallowly, covering the seed with only a thin layer of soil, in trays or straight into beds; keep it moist until it germinates.
  2. SpacingSpace plants 25–30 cm apart and pinch out the tips once to make bushier plants with more flowers.
  3. CareWater regularly while plants are young; once established, cosmos tolerates dry spells. Go easy on nitrogen, which gives leaves at the expense of flowers.
  4. FloweringRemove faded flowers to keep new blooms coming for weeks.
